Rather than crafting a character who has some special insight or unique effect that allows his girlfriends to be emotionally prepared for a real relationship, the film resorts to some voodoo bullshit and devolves into a cliche sex comedy. However, the execution leaves much to be desired. I find the premise of this film interesting and engaging. Good Luck Charlie is a series that is currently running and has 4 seasons (101 episodes). The title comes from the end of each episode, where, once the latest Duncan family debacle is resolved, one of the family members looks into the camera and says, "Good luck, Charlie." This juggling of household responsibilities with typical teenage and adolescent antics often result in a series of comical mishaps that unravel throughout the episode. Mom is a nurse and Dad owns a pest control business, which makes for a busy family that relies on help from the three older siblings in the care for little Charlie. The episodes usually follow the Duncan family through their everyday experiences. Each episode of this family-friendly show revolves around Teddy recording the events of her family life as sort of a digital scrapbook for Charlie to look upon as she grows older. Good Luck Charlie premiered in April of 2010 and is currently in its third season, where Charlie is a toddler and a new baby has joined the family.
Other recurring characters include Teddy's best friend, Ivy, along with Ivy's parents and the Duncan's neighbor, Mrs. In the third season, Amy Duncan gave birth to the newest member of the Duncan family, Toby.
